CEC Entertainment, the global leader in family entertainment and operator of Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper restaurants, is seeking an Application Business Analyst to join our team.  This position is based at our Corporate Support Center in Irving, TX

The Application Business Analyst for CEC software is a subject matter expert in their field and/or core systems. The Analyst must understand restaurant and arcade operational processes, business relationships, and workflows. Key responsibilities include review, analyze, and evaluate user needs in relation to the booking systems, accounting software, and company reporting. The role is responsible for designing and building custom software systems and integrating vendors with existing CEC systems. The BA is expected to understand Agile development processes. Experience with Azure DevOps or comparable system to organize software development tasks will make the strongest candidates.

Essential Functions of the Position:

• Identifying and solving IT operational opportunities at the restaurants, in the corporate headquarters, and on guests’ devices.

• Assists the IT department as they shift to a data-driven culture. Interview company leadership, discover the analytics that will drive the business forward, and explain the requirements to the development team.

• Identify inefficient legacy systems, work with users to redefine aging software to work in next-generation systems.

Qualifications:

• College degree is preferred

• PMP certification preferred

• 3+ years of experience as a business analyst or a business systems analyst

• Experience in an entertainment or food-service IT setting preferred

• Knowledge of Agile/Waterfall and overall SDLC

• Demonstrates initiative and client relationship skills

• Good conflict management skills

• Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats across all levels of personnel

• Actively identifies new areas for learning; regularly creating and taking advantage of learning opportunities

• Actively participating as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals

• Maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition

• Sets high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks

• Ability to understand IT Operations processes and computer skills

• Applies tools and processes to identify, communicate and manage project goals, schedules, responsibilities, progress, performance, and priorities

• Effective presentation skills

• Previous experience in Workday will be helpful

Physical Demands:

To perform the duties of this position, the incumbent must have the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach, and carry, lift, pull, push between 1 – 25 lbs. Incumbent must use a computer, with the repetitive movement of both hands. Incumbent must be able to work an 8-hour shift, with some overtime. Incumbent must also be available to travel to various locations by airplane or by operating a vehicle if needed.
